Operation of the Hot Springs Area of the Reserve
The hot springs area of the Reserve is open from Monday to Sunday with the following schedule:
- Morning hours: entry from 9:30 AM, exit from the premises at 1:30 PM.
- Afternoon hours: entry from 2:30 PM, exit from the premises at 6:00 PM.
Visitors are requested to leave the pools 20 to 15 minutes before the scheduled exit time to allow for punctual departure.
Some of the pools may be reserved (the total capacity of the hot springs decreases if some pools are closed).
Permitted and Prohibited Activities within the Reserve
To promote harmonious coexistence and preserve the environmental surroundings, the Reserve establishes regulations that must be strictly adhered to. Non-compliance with these rules may result in expulsion from the premises.
- Recreational bathing in the pools is allowed.
- Food consumption is only allowed in the picnic area.
- No fires or smoking are allowed.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Entry and alcohol consumption are not permitted.
- Entering in a state of intoxication or under the influence of drugs is not allowed for safety and good coexistence.
- The use of glass containers is not allowed.
Inclusions with the Ticket
Includes:
- Admission to the thermal pools.
- Right to use lockers* and sanitary facilities.
- Use of the parking lot located 350 meters from the pools and sanitary facilities.
Does not include:
- Transfer services to the hot springs area.
- Transfer service within the hot springs area, between the parking lot and thermal pools (350 meters of elevation difference).
- Food and/or beverages.
*Each visitor must bring their own padlock.
Photography and Recording
Photography and recording for personal use are allowed. The commercial use of images of the hot springs area of the Reserve is subject to prior approval from the administration. Contact puritama@explora.com for inquiries.
Use of Personal Data entered at the time of ticket purchase
When making a purchase to access the hot springs area of the Puritama Conservation Reserve, visitors provide certain personal data, such as name and email. This data is collected to manage the reservation and improve the user experience. The Reserve commits to treating all personal information with strict confidentiality and complying with applicable data protection laws.
- Internal Use: Collected personal data will be used internally to manage reservations, process payments, and provide relevant information about the visit to the hot springs area.
- Communications: The Reserve may use the provided email address to send reservation confirmations, information about changes in schedules or services, and to respond to specific inquiries. It is also used to send a satisfaction survey about the visiting experience.
- Marketing: With the explicit consent of the visitor, the Reserve may use the information to send marketing communications related to additional services, promotions, or future events. Visitors have the right to opt out of these communications at any time.
- Security: Personal data will be handled securely, and measures will be implemented to protect against unauthorized access or disclosure.
- No Sharing with Third Parties: The Puritama Conservation Reserve undertakes not to share personal data with third parties without the express consent of the visitor, unless required by law.
Rights of Access and Modification

Data Conservation
Personal data will be retained for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, according to applicable laws. After this period, it will be securely deleted unless there is a legal obligation to retain the information for an additional period.
Modifications to Terms and Conditions
The Puritama Conservation Reserve reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on the official website. In case of a change after ticket purchase, it will be informed to the email entered by the customer at the time of purchase, and a refund of the purchase can be requested if not in agreement with the changes (subject to the times indicated in the refund policies).

Date changes:
- 8 or more days before the check-in date: No penalty.
- 7 to 4 days before the check-in date: 50% penalty.
- 3 to 0 days before the check-in date: no possibility of change.
Refunds:
- 8 or more days before the check-in date: No penalty.
- Cancellation 7 to 4 days before the check-in date: 50% penalty.
- Cancellation 3 to 0 days before the check-in date: no possibility of refund.
Note: Refunds may take up to 30 business days. Both refunds and changes must be made in advance of the purchased ticket date.
Safety Rules
The safety of our visitors is of utmost importance. Therefore, the following rules must be followed:
Respect the indications and signs of the Reserve staff at all times.
Children must be under constant supervision of an adult guardian.
Visitors are advised to inform the staff about any relevant medical condition before entering the thermal pools.
Visitor’s Responsibility
By accessing the hot springs area of the Puritama Conservation Reserve, the visitor accepts and assumes full responsibility for their actions. The Reserve is not responsible for accidents, losses, or damage to personal property.
Respect for the Environment
The Puritama Conservation Reserve strives to conserve the natural environment. Visitors must follow environmentally respectful practices, such as not littering, respecting local flora and fauna, and contributing to the maintenance of the place. Extracting flora or feeding wildlife is not allowed, nor is modifying the rocky environment by creating boundaries or hanging stones from vegetation.
During the visit, you will encounter multiple specimens of insects, including spiders and, consequently, spider webs. Their removal is prohibited as they are part of the ecosystem and contribute to the natural control of mosquitoes and flies.
Ethical Behavior
Visitors are expected to maintain ethical and respectful behavior towards others. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate expulsion from the premises.

By using the services of the Puritama Conservation Reserve, the visitor agrees to comply with these terms and conditions in their entirety. Any violation of these rules may result in disciplinary actions, including expulsion from the premises without the right to a refund.
